WHAT DO YOU DO?

Singer/Songwriter

FAVOURITE BAND?

There's too many I could never pick one. My favourite artists right now are Halsey, Aurora and Julia Michaels.

FAVOURITE SONG?

This is the hardest question in the world but today its "Worst In Me" - Julia Michaels.

FAVOURITE FEMALE ARTIST AND WHY?

Aurora. Because she is a breath of fresh air in this industry. She is a beautiful real and down to earth writer and I love the innocence in her words and her story telling. She has so much power in her voice and screams girl power to me!

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO NEXT?

I want to change the way people talk about mental heath but I want to do it through my music/song writing. In my opinion, mental health can be managed if people have the right tools to cope. My music is my copping mechanism but fortunately its also my secret weapon and tool that I use to help others too. As an artist, I'd like to collaborate with more charity organisations to help highlight a healthy conversation about mental heath. I'm very real about things that I've gone through in my life and my only intention in doing so is to hopefully make somebody feel understood or less alone. I'd like my music to spread as far as it can to help as many as possible.

FORKS IN THE ROAD, HOW DO YOU MANAGE THEM?

Forks in the road are only small tests that help to prepare you for your real passion. Without them, you don't know how beautiful the straight roads can be and you will never grow. I always say without the darkness you cant know the light. I live by this statement.

DO YOU HAVE A GIRL GANG? WHY DO YOU LOVE THEM?

I sure do!! My girls, Kota Banks, CXLOE and Emalia! All crazy talented women in the industry who are kicking but and absolutely killing it!! Couldn't do it without them.

HAVE YOU COME UP AGAINST RESISTANCE WITH WHAT YOU'RE DOING? HOW DID YOU MANAGE IT?

Of course. But the resistance has never resolved around the question "are you meant to do this with your life" or "why are you doing this". Its more been about how to go about certain things and how to best achieve the goals I've set for myself. I'm very driven and very hard on myself, so sometimes I can be my worst enemy but I know now that if I stay true to my initial intentions and be as real to my audience and myself as I possibly can be, I will go further in my career. It's all about belief in yourself and your worth. But you gotta earn it!

WHAT WERE YOU LIKE AS A TEENAGER? WHAT MAJOR THINGS DID YOU COME TO REALISE AS YOU GREW UP?

As a teenager I was so bubbly and crazy. I was driven to the point of often completely exhausting myself to show how passionate I was for whatever I wanted to achieve. This lead to feeling so desperate to find myself but impress people at the same time. I'm now 24 and in recent months I've realised that finding yourself isn't something you learn from a book or from your friends. It's actually just an inevitable process that you will go through. I've also realised that it wont be easy and it was never going to be easy. I've learnt to take breaks and reward myself for the things I have achieved and never stop loving yourself before you let others love you.
